WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU DO, WHEN WE APPROACH YOU TO DO OUR WEDDING?
I will contact you via email or give you a phone call to arrange a meeting – this is the most important part of your big day – getting to know you both!
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
Absolutely! I am based in Cape Town, South Africa but love travelling – some of the places I have travelled include Greece, Bali and Mauritius.
HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?
Contact me for pricing and availability, select your package, I will then send you a quotation/invoice. Once that is settled along with the 50% non-refundable booking fee we are booked for your wedding. (Payment plans are an option).
DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?
Yes, I always have a back-up when shooting weddings.
HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED FOR CERTAIN PHOTOS?
Please contact me for a comprehensive timing guide.
DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM?
I shoot only in digital.
HOW LONG BEFORE MY WEDDING SHOULD I BOOK?
This depends on you, but I do suggest to book 6-12 months in advance avoiding disappointment.
HOW DO ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS WORK?
Engagements are so exciting and it is always lovely to meet a couple so they can feel comfortable with me before their wedding – so this is the perfect way to do just that. A date can be set as soon as you have booked me for your wedding. It is a relaxed and casual photo session that lasts up to 2 hours.
WILL YOU TAKE PHOTOS OF THE GROOM AS HE GETS DRESSED?
Your wedding day is just that ‘your wedding day’ – so all about your needs and wants. Either me, or my assistant can photograph the groom getting ready, if time and location allows for this.
WHAT IF WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE BEING PHOTOGRAPHED?
I am very easy going and love natural photography – I will never force you to do something you are not comfortable with. Hence, I love to meet with you a couple of times, just to get to know you. I am open to suggestions and having fun. It shouldn’t be uncomfortable in any way. Having an engagement shoot also breaks the ice, so to speak – it is almost like having a mini wedding.
DO YOU TAKE PHOTOS OF THE GUESTS?
I try my best as circumstances allow it. It is usually spontaneous and fun. Unless you arrange special group shots and also of the guests dancing.
HOW LONG IS THE WAITING PERIOD TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
This process can take anywhere between 6-8 weeks.
DO YOU OFFER COFFEE TABLE BOOKS?
I can definitely arrange this for you. They are professionally laid out and printed on semi-gloss pages, bound with a personalised hard cover. Let me know whether you are interested and I will supply you with the various options available to you and prices.
DO YOU USE LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?
Natural light is usually best, but sometimes fill in light is required, especially at receptions.
DO YOU WORK WITH AN ASSISTANT?
I always work with an assistant and use 2 cameras on the day.
HOW DO YOU TAKE THE FORMAL FAMILY GROUP PHOTOS?
I do take photos of groups – however it is best that you arrange someone to organize a list of family members so as to save time on the day – this works like clockwork and everything will flow smoothly.
ARE ALL YOUR WEDDINGS FEATURED ON YOUR BLOG?
Yes every wedding will be featured on my blog and/or portfolio.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO ADD TO MAKING THINGS RUN BETTER ON OUR DAY?
If you have any special little items that you would like to include in the photos – e.g. when you are having your make up done, a nice bottle of perfume, earrings etc. It also helps hugely if you have a co-ordinator on the day to approach me as events play out throughout the day.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING DAY?
My time will be focused on getting your images beautifully edited and ready for collection – collection will take place anywhere between 6-8 weeks. Please be patient to ensure the best quality images. The images will be supplied on a CD in high and low resolution for printing and sharing on social media. I will also share a blog post which you are welcome to share on social media and with your family & friends.
DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?
I love people, so I don’t just do wedding photography – I love doing family / newborn / kids etc. I feel that wedding photography is my passion and love – it is such a special union and to be part of something so life changing, makes me love my job even more.
