Johnny, Denise and Olivia

I feel truly blessed as I share this. Denise and Johnny were introduced to me through a close friend of theirs and I was truly honoured to share this wonderful journey with them. From the baby shower in their home, to a maternity shoot at Noordhoek Common and this past Saturday to welcome little Olivia home.

I want to share their  story through a photo collection. Johnny and Denise shine with their love for one another and it was beautiful to witness their joy and love for little Olivia.  I want to wish them every happiness, as they share in all her milestones. Enjoy every moment of her precious life. Thank you, for welcoming me into your lives and making it such fun to work with you. Big thank you to Anahi, who made it all possible. Many blessings!

Powder Paint Shoot at EduExcellence

I recently had the absolute pleasure and delight to spend an afternoon at EduExcellence in Noordhoek.

When Neal approached me about a powder paint shoot, I was excited and nervous at the same time, as  I had never done something like this, or even heard of it. Upon arrival, I felt butterflies in my tummy, but from the minute I arrived, Neal and the staff made me feel right at home. The staff have a warm and sincere attitude and looking around at the beauty of the grounds, I could tell that any child would feel accepted and loved in a place so beautiful. It was a picture perfect day and the lawn sparkled like a  bright green carpet under the sun.  After enjoying a drink and mingling with the staff, it was time to let the games begin.

The staff first lined up in a row – each with a colourful balloon and white T.Shirt, for a ‘before’ photo. Then, without hestitation the fun began –  colourful paint flying through the air. It looked like such a blast, that I wished I could be in their shoes.

At the end of the day, everyone had a smile on their colourful faces and I could feel the comradery  shared among them. What a great team building experience!

A big thank you to Neal for the opportunity and adventure. I walked away with a feeling of elation.

Some information about the school :

The initial concept of EduExcellence Private Remedial Schools began in 2006 when a small group of parents encouraged our Founder and CEO, Dr Beulah van der Westhuizen, to initiate a new learning facility in the East of Pretoria. The result was the All Stars Learning Academy.

Beulah’s doctoral study focused on the application of an eco-systemic approach within an educational environment. Beulah specialised in the field of neuro-development, with special interest in children diagnosed and presenting with so called ADHD, attention difficulties, neuro-developmental delay and heightened motor activity.

Such was the need and interest of a school of this repute, the Academy grew rapidly and by the beginning of 2007 enrolled 18 new learners. It was obviously recognisable that learners who participated in this multi-professional eco-systemic educational environment displayed dramatic and definite improvement in their abilities.
