Family Photo Shoot

I was approached by Kara to do a little Photoshoot of her and her gorgeous family.

On Saturday the weather was picture perfect without a breath of wind! What a special family and precious little boy! Thank you for all your patience with me!

It was such an honour for me to be entrusted to take photos for you all Kara. I hope that the photos will bring you much joy as you look back one day and remember!

Today’s little moments become tomorrow’s precious memories!

Friendship Photo Shoot

What a joy to spend a lovely morning at the Vineyard Hotel with these special ladies.

The Vineyard gardens have delighted and fascinated for over 200 years, and in 2016 they remain as innovative and ground breaking as they were when they were first created.

Its beautiful lush paths and by-ways that stretch across 7.5 acres of plush suburbia, its proximity to Table Mountain and the banks of the Liesbeek River, and its large number of interesting flora and fauna all come together to ensure that enthusiasts travel from far and wide in order to experience it for themselves.

These famous grounds were originally home to diarist and artist Lady Anne Barnard and husband Andrew, colonial secretary to the Governor of the Cape of Good Hope, Earl Macartney. The Barnard’s built their house in February 1800 and it was ground breaking from the start, being the first ‘English’ style house in the Cape. The gardens flourished, full of indigenous shrubs like protea and keurboom, as well as box and fir. Lady Anne’s own watercolours are remaining proof of this – one she sketched from the stoep refers to her garden as, “growing, growing, growing!”

Lady Anne Barnard was a dynamic, progressive woman, full of interesting ideas and as such, way ahead of her time. This spirit has remained so much a part of the property, translating into the way this extraordinary garden has developed and adapted over the centuries.

I cannot think of a better place to celebrate friendship! Thank you lovely ladies it was such a fulfilling morning and thank you for entrusting me to take photos of you all – I hope you get to enjoy the images for many years to come and look back on this day with fond memories.

“Close friends are truly life’s treasures. Sometimes they know us better than we know ourselves. With gentle honesty, they are there to guide and support us, to share our laughter and our tears. Their presence reminds us that we are never really alone.”― Vincent van Gogh

Family Photo Shoot in Constantia

When Meagan contacted me to do a  Family Photo Shoot for her and her family, I was super excited.

Upon meeting her and the family, I felt an immediate connection. It was such a beautiful day and the flowers were in bloom.

Thank you for entrusting me with your family Meagan, what a joy and honor to spend the morning with you, Rick and Joshua. I hope you get to treasure the images of the day – that the memory of these photos will live in your heart forever.

Tomorrow they will be a bit older than they were today – today is a gift, just breathe, notice their little faces, their little feet, pay attention, relish the charm, it will be over before you know it.

Cake Smash

Little Owen turned one recently and I was  thrilled to be able to take some pics of him enjoying his lovely cake mom made for him. I am new at doing Cake Smash Photo Shoots, but must say it was such a treat to snap away on my camera – I didn’t want to miss anything.

Children are such a blessing and joy.

Thank you for entrusting me with your Cake Smash Day, Claire. It was so much fun to watch all the little expressions on Owen’s face. Hope he had a fab birthday with friends and family.

Many blessings for many more wonderful memories to treasure.

You are a small miracle, which has made lives of a dozen people better and brighter! Be blessed for many more!

Family Photo Shoot in Constantia

Jessica arranged for me to take photos of her mother with her grandchildren while she was visiting Cape Town.  What a lovely family!

It was also such a pleasure to have her brother and his children from California join in for the Photo Shoot.

Jessica unfortunately could not join in, as she was overseas at the time. What a wonderful time we had in a lovely setting in the leafy suburb of Constantia.

Just a little glimpse into the life of this lovely family, captured in pictures to treasure!
