Homebirth of Samuel Jesse Hess
Tuesday, 30 May 2017, was the day chosen for little Samuel Jesse Hess, to enter the world.
I felt truly honoured and privileged to have been part of something so big – my small mind could hardly comprehend something so great.
It was beautiful to witness your courage and strength, Deanna – your pain and joy. You were so calm and serene – God heard your prayers and held you in the palm of His hand.
When Samuel cried his ‘first cry’, I saw contentment wash over both you and Cheslyn. I take off my hat to you Cheslyn; you took everything in your stride – Deanna, Cheslyn sat by you, watched you, touched you, massaged you…. waiting. The bond between you was felt.
Thank you Deanna and Cheslyn, I will never be the same again, my life was touched deeply and profoundly !
Special mention must be made to Sandy Standish, the most amazing woman, who made everything run so smoothly – well done on being such an incredible midwife!
Psalm 139: 13-14
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
