Ben and Jenna were married on  10 April 2021. What made this wedding so special was that it was held in Ben’s family home ‘House at Pooh Corner.’  Their home is so quaint and has such history! It has a quiet, serene and fairytale setting where  squirrels cavort in the trees. 100 year old oak trees and the original nineteenth century Chapman’s Peak Drive bridge form wonderful accents in the forested garden.

So let the fairytale begin……….♥

I arrived at the house to capture the beauty of the setting which had been set up by the family with so much love…so much thought and attention had gone into even the smallest of details!  I will let the photos tell the story as I couldn’t possibly put it into words. I hope the images capture just a small glimpse of what a heartfelt day it was!

From here I made my way to Monkey Valley Resort where Jenna and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Monkey Valley Resort is nestled within the Milkwood forest at the foot of Chapman’s Peak Noordhoek and has an unrivaled view of the Noordhoek beach and nature reserve. The views are breathtaking.

Back at the house hubby was taking photos of the groom and his groomsmen getting ready in the ‘panic room’ (giggles).

I arrived just before the bride and felt butterflies at the thought of what was about to happen. As Jenna took her dad’s arm and started the procession down the pathway to the river I felt like I was floating on a cloud…their song ‘The Book Of Love‘ drifted  through the air……what a euphoric feeling.

I stood there and just savoured the moment when a man and woman become one – a mystery that only God can bring about.

Vows took place under an archway filled with handpicked flowers that had been woven in love.

Charlie the family dog was their ring bearer and what a fine job he did when the time came to present the rings.

A music item was performed for the couple and guests to enjoy.

We then slipped away to take some photos on Chapman’s Peak Drive of Mr & Mrs Fish while guests enjoyed mingling with each other and enjoying the apertifs set before them.

A while later we arrived back at the house and the couple walked into the gazebo where their guests awaited them. The air was filled with the sounds of well wishes and cheers while rose petals were thrown at them.

The first dance happened shortly thereafter and the evening unfolded with speeches, dancing and the most yummy food ever.

Each guest received a beautiful ceramic tea light holder with the date engraved on it from Oclaysions! What a special memory to treasure.

Arnold and I felt truly honored to be part of this special day! We wish Ben and Jenna every happiness, may God go before you and make His face to shine upon you and may He light your path wherever you may go.
